There are several approaches to brow lift cosmetic surgery – the best method for our patients is determined during the consultation based on such factors as patient and surgeon preferences, hairline location and the amount of elevation required. Often, the surgery is performed as a minimally invasive procedure with a surgical endoscope. Several small incision are made just behind the hairline. If a large amount of wrinkled skin must be removed, a larger incision across the top of the head in the hair may be necessary. Forehead skin is gently lifted and portions of facial muscle and excess skin are removed. This procedure is generally performed on an outpatient basis, but general anesthesia is sometimes recommended.
