Samantha, Physician Assistant

Born and raised in Indiana, Samantha is a true Hoosier at heart. Her educational journey began at Indiana University Bloomington, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Community Health. She continued her studies at IU Indianapolis, obtaining a Master of Physician Assistant Studies.

Samantha’s impressive career path has taken her to renowned medical institutions, including Franciscan Health, where she worked as a surgical Physician Assistant in orthopedic and emergency general surgery cases. At Eskenazi Health, she specialized in burn care, managing both surgical and non-surgical patients. Her advanced wound care experience and ability to handle complex skin conditions have proven invaluable in post-surgical care.

Her expertise then led her to Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center in Arizona, where she served as a Surgical Oncology Physician Assistant, focusing on plastic and reconstructive surgeries. Samantha’s skill set expanded as she specialized in head and neck reconstruction, along with various breast reconstruction procedures, serving as a first assistant in both micro and super microsurgical cases.

We are excited to have Samantha join our team, where her extensive experience and unwavering dedication to plastic surgery and esthetic services have already made her an essential part of our practice. Working closely with Dr. Wagner, Samantha is an integral liaison between the OR and the clinical team. Her commitment to providing exceptional care ensures that patients will benefit from the expertise of both Dr. Wagner and Samantha throughout their surgical journey. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and exploring the beauty of our national and state parks while camping and hiking.

Whitney, R.N and Nurse Injector

Whitney, our highly skilled Registered Cosmetic Nurse brings over 16 years of experience as a to our practice. After earning her BS Nursing degree from Anderson University in 2008, she focused her career on the cosmetic surgery field, honing her expertise in this specialized area. To further develop her skills, Whitney is nationally certified by the Aesthetic Medical Educators Training facility and has attended numerous advanced training programs with regional Allergan educators. She remains dedicated to expanding her knowledge and artistic abilities, continually elevating the level of care provided to our injectable patients, while simultaneously pursuing a graduate degree to become a Nurse Practitioner. Her commitment to her profession is evident not only in her ongoing education but also in her genuine enthusiasm for plastic surgery and cosmetic injectables. Outside of work, Whitney’s passions include sports, health, and fitness – a love that began during her time as a collegiate volleyball player. Today, she enjoys cheering on her two daughters at their sporting events and can often be found supporting them from the sidelines. Whitney’s warm and approachable demeanor allows her to build strong connections with patients, ensuring their individual needs and desired outcomes are met with sensitivity and care. She is available for injectable consultations and treatments every Tuesday and Thursday by appointment.

Kara, B.S., L.E.

Kara, our highly skilled Cosmetic Coordinator, has been an integral part of the Wagner and Associates team since 2016. With a strong background and a Bachelor’s degree in Sales and Marketing from Purdue University, Kara expertly applies her knowledge to create exceptional experiences for our cosmetic patients seeking surgical procedures and injectable treatments. Originally from Lafayette, IN, Kara brings over 25 years of dedication to patient care, having previously worked with three renowned Indiana physicians specializing in Dermatology, Cosmetic Surgery, and Plastic Surgery. Her extensive experience makes her an invaluable resource for patients, serving as a vital liaison throughout their entire cosmetic journey, from initial inquiry to post-operative recovery. As the primary contact for cosmetic inquiries, Kara offers guidance on surgery options, recovery, personalized quotes, and financing opportunities through CareCredit or Alphaeon. Additionally, she oversees our marketing and social media initiatives, collaborating closely with our website company on sales strategies, daily postings, plastic surgery trends and promotions. In her free time, Kara enjoys spending time with her family, exploring new destinations, and creating lasting memories. She finds joy in nurturing her garden and volunteering as an ESL tutor for international refugees. Kara’s career began as a licensed aesthetician and cosmetologist, where her appreciation for beauty flourished. Throughout her career she has worked alongside physicians observing how well medical-level procedures can empowered patients to look and feel their best, regardless of age.

Christy, Front Office Coordinator

Christy has been an integral part of the Wagner and Associates team since 2006, bringing over two decades of customer service experience to her role as Referral Coordinator. While her primary responsibility is managing new patient referrals for our skin cancer clinic, she also plays an equally vital role in our Cosmetic clinic.

Christy’s caring and composed demeanor makes her an ideal point of contact for referring physicians and patients seeking consultations with Dr. Jeffrey Wagner. Her compassionate approach helps ease the concerns of patients recently diagnosed with skin cancer, ensuring they feel supported throughout their treatment journey.

In addition to her role as Referral Coordinator, Christy diligently assists patients in establishing long-term dermatologic and oncologic follow-up care post-surgery. Her collaborative nature and unwavering dedication make her an invaluable asset to our practice. Outside of work, Christy cherishes time spent with her family and is an avid traveler, often seeking out idyllic island destinations. She also has a passion for live music and frequently visits Nashville, Tennessee – one of her favorite cities – to attend concerts.
